ADCB’s auto debit feature is called Direct Debit. This is applicable to card and loan payments. With this service, you can pay off your regular bills directly from your existing account. To set one up, you need to fill out a Direct Debit Mandate form, visit your bank branch, or call your bank. Once set, the company you are paying will automatically take the money from your account based on your instructions.
To cancel a direct debit, you usually need to give the bank a written request. You can either stop the service completely or block certain payments with a ‘Stop Request’. Note that in some cases, you can also send this request through the company you are paying.
Note that it may take up to five working days for the auto debit ADCB credit card cancellation process. For loan or card payments, you must visit the lender or card provider and submit the request in writing.
